Course Marketing: A recent MIT report indicated that AI was creating “cognitive surrender” for students (https://www.nytimes.com/2026/09/15/us/universities-ai-warnings-enthusiasm.html). This Human Development course seeks cognitive reclaiming, by teaching a few general skills that helps humans step up in this AI age.

Description—This course is not about Artificial Intelligence. The curriculum acknowledges that AI is a big force today, yet aims to steer away from it and promote human strengths. How might humans step up and gain leverage in their own capabilities? This Alt-AI course shows ways to become human strong. In the ancient Biblical battle between the giant Goliath and the shepherd David, David uses rocks and his slingshot to win. This course shows how a human might accomplish a similar underdog victory over giant AI.

The course includes three classes, each an hour long: an introduction, two human skills, and two other human skills worth developing.
